Identification Requirements

Mexico, like many other countries, requires that your passport has at least 6 valid months left on it when you arrive.
Upon your arrival you will be asked to fill in a departure card. Make sure to keep this paper with your travel documents, as you will be asked to show it when you leave. If you fail to produce it, you will be fined.
Meeting Point Inside the Airport
It is important to note that once you exit the arrivals terminal you will not be allowed re-entry. Therefore if you are planning to meet friends or family who are arriving on a different flight make sure to arrange a meeting point inside the terminal.

Inside the arrivals terminal there is a currency exchange desk. There are also many cash machines and currency exchange kiosks in Playa del Carmen on La Quinta (5th Avenue) the main pedestrian thoroughfare and 10th Avenue.
